Corporate wellbeing refers to the holistic approach companies take to ensure the mental, physical, and emotional health of their employees. Prioritizing corporate wellbeing directly impacts employee engagement, productivity, and overall job satisfaction. When employees feel supported in their wellbeing, they are more likely to be motivated, resilient, and committed to their work. This, in turn, leads to reduced absenteeism, lower turnover rates, and a stronger, more cohesive organizational culture.
Incorporating art therapy and nature into corporate wellbeing programs can further enhance these benefits. Art therapy allows employees to express emotions and relieve stress through creative activities, fostering a sense of personal fulfillment and emotional balance. Exposure to nature perhaps through outdoor activities like forest bathing, guided outdoor meditation, or creative workshops designed to deepen nature connection, have been shown to reduce stress, boost mood, and increase focus. These approaches can significantly contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
The importance of employee wellbeing extends beyond the individual, as it plays a crucial role in the overall success of the organization. Healthy, happy employees are more innovative, collaborative, adaptable, and resilient.
How can Aurora Art Therapies help?
We can work collaboratively with you to create and facilitate workshops, wellbeing days/ half days or a programme of sessions that best suits the needs of your organisation. Some examples of groups are shared below –
Forest bathing followed by creative experiencing.
This can be held as a one off workshop or series of 6 two hour sessions. The workshop begins with guided mediation, moving on to guided forest bathing focussing on the 5 senses and gratitude, then time creating in response to our experiences in nature. Suitable for groups of up to 20
Themed art therapy sessions
Group members are guided through meditations, mindfulness and art making in response to a specific theme which can be agreed between the therapist and organisation in advance. The therapist will facilitate discussion and reflection throughout. Suitable for groups of up to 20.
Bilateral drawing and clay workshops
Within these sessions group members are guided through mindful body scanning, noticing where we physically hold onto emotions such as stress. Participants are then guided through bilateral drawing and clay techniques to begin to release these emotions. Suitable for groups of up to 20.
Within any of these groups or as a standalone session I can provide psychoeducational training on the affects of stress and anxiety. This includes experiencial workshops, teaching various coping strategies to release day to day stress. For full day wellbeing workshops and larger groups I work with other artists and complimentary therapists to incorporate movement meditation, botanical casting, nutritional therapy, facials and Indian head massage alongside any of the above workshops. These can be planned and shaped specifically for the needs of your organisation. For more details or for a no obligation discussion please do get in touch.
